I have a 15" 1.67 ghz g4, with 1.5 GB of ram, and the ATI 9700 (64 mb) video card.. i just tried playing halo, and it was the MOST miserable experience.. and that was with the settings set to low... the graphics were all choppy, and i couldnt aim at people.. have any of you been able to play such games on your pbs?

with halo, you should have a window that opens up before the actual application starts, which allows you to select some pretty specific options. the key to getting performance in halo is with that screen. By tweaking those settings, I can get more than playable FPS on my 1.67Ghz 17" model. You won't get too much of a difference by setting the settings found in the actual game.

Unreal Tournament plays well on mine...Battlefield 1942...Ghost Recon...Medal of Honor Spearhead...

Halo should play well, just tweak the settings.

It's been a while since I've messed with it. If I recall, the one that made the biggest difference was the lens flare. Might have been other stuff too. Tomorrow I'll drop a post with more specifics of what I have mine set as.

Glad she's workin for ya. Too bad lens flare has to be turned down, you'll really notice it on the covenant pistol, and weapons like that, but oh well, at least she plays.

You can not upgrade the video card after purchase. It is part of the main logic board.
