My A1260 MacBook Pro had a blue stripe running from top to bottom of the screen. The lid was pretty well beaten so I found a used one managed to blow the DC/USB board and replaced that, and all was well, for a couple of days. Now if it's disturbed just a little, the colors reverse. If I play with the screen some it'll straighten out. Is this most likely a cable or bad screen?

Probably the cable(s) or the connector. Take it apart and check them. Could be as simple as a loose connection.
