disk repair/ data extraction

Can anyone recommend a service... I have an old external hard drive... this may be premature but it was unplugged for several weeks without my knowledge and it sounds wrong to me (I don't have a monitor/ Classic Mac to hook it up to for visual). I have files I had hoped to copy to a machine running OSX. Help?

I'm really trying to understand what exactly you have? If you have a hard drive that was used on a classic Mac, try attaching it to your current Mac to see if you can read the data on it. Otherwise without any further information, we are completely in the dark as to what you're trying to do?
