Did Camino erase my Keychain?

I just switched from Safari to Camino, and am delighted in every way except for how my Keychain is now blank. It's no fun trying to remember all the usernames and passwords for nearly a dozen websites.

Any idea why this happened, plus how to recover them?

try going to /applications/utilities/keychain manager. there you will be able to look at your usernames and passwords (provided you have the account password for the account you are currently using).

Then you can go to camino and enter them in and have camino remember them.

Here's the thing - I had all my usernames and passwords already in Keychain Access when I used Safari, then I installed Camino and started using it. On websites that I frequent, Camino would ask if I wanted to store the username and password and I got suspicious. So I opened Keychain and to my shock all the info was gone so I had to start re-entering it again. Searching my computer for the missing info gave me nothing.

So in response to your response, Camino had nothing to go on because my Keychain info had been wiped out, I suspect by my Camino install.

maybe they were just being saved in Safari and not in keychain. You can check by going to safari preferences, and then the autofill tab and then the edit button in user names and passwords. Maybe some of them are saved in there and you can retrieve them.
