Last week I was doing front squats with a 10lb plate while watching the instructor video online. The plate slipped and slightly dented my keyboard. I noticed this week when I plugged my iPhone in the USB port that it kept connecting and reconnecting constantly. Does the dented keyboard effect the USB port? The dent was in the middle. This is the only issue I have had since the accident. Macbook Pro.

I restarted the SMC already.

Does the dented keyboard effect the USB port?

WOW...dropping a 10 pound plate on a laptop is usually not very good for the laptop!:(

I think that the easy answer is. The USB port worked before the 10 pound plate was dropped...and didn't work after. "Cause & Effect".

It's kind of like "Humpty Dumpty...Falling off the Wall."
