Easier still, create a new user account: (System Preferences --- Accounts) Click on the + sign at the bottom of the pref pane and create a new account. Doesn't matter how you call it. Once created, drag the file that is causing you trouble from your trash to: Macintosh HD/Users/Shared and drop the file in there. Log out of your account and log in to the new one. Go to Macintosh HD/Users/Shared and drag the file into that account's trash. (You could be asked your admin account any time during this procedure...) Log out of the new account and log back in your usual account. Go back to the System Preferences --- Accounts and delete the new account by clicking on the - (minus sign). File is gone and deleted.
