Hi,
I deleted a font collection by mistake with +150 fonts.
I still have them on the drive.
Does any one know, where MAC stores the Font Collection lists? Cannot find it.
I have Timemachine, so I should be able to recover it.
Many thanks for any help.
cheers, Chris

Welcome to our forums.

The default location for the storage of fonts is:

System > Library > Fonts

System > Library > Font Collections

Take note that the user Library is hidden by default so you will need to unhide it first in order to view your fonts and font collections.

How or what did you use to delete your "font collection"???

That's a fair number of fonts to lose at one time. Just saying... and a bit curious... 😉

Depending on your operating system and Mac model which you have not shared with us, go to Go > Applications > Font Book for starters.

Hi Patrick.

I was working fast. I wanted to delete just one font FROM a collection. But I did not read the warning, so I deleted the whole collection.
Of course the fonts still are in the system, but the collection - where I had been cataloguing the fonts - was gone. So I started searching by hand which is a pain...
But since I have my Timemachine data, I just copied/pasted it and all is good again :-D
Hope that explains...

I'm glad you found your fonts.

That would be the normal location for any macOS user fonts, the System folder and its associated folders are basically restricted to the OS's (and Admin') use and access.

Actually, you might be quite surprised if you used Find Any File.app and searched your boot drive for folders that are named Fonts to see how many there are and where they are all located. 😉
