Hi,
I run OSX 10.4.10

There seems to be a delay with some commands. When I press the volume buttons on my keyboard, it takes a second or two for the mac to react - I know there must be a setting somewhere and that this isn't normal because I have a friend with the same spec mac except that I have more ram and when he presses the volume keys, they react immediately.

Can someone please shed some light.

Thanks,

Balt.

probably just your mac getting used. =P i would advise running Onyx to clear your caches and what not. makes your system run better. i don't have a link, but i'm sure a google search for 'onyx, mac' will help ya. :)

Yeah try Onyx. Also that happens if a lot of process's are taking up the CPU. My iBook delays a bit when that is going on.
