Damaged Directories external dirve

I've tried Nortons, Disk Utilities and both of these tell me they cannot repair the drive. The drive hasa damagaed directories according to both. Is there another way of fixing this drive. It is a 320g Iomega external USB 2 drive.

What system is it running? If it's OS X, I hope it's no later than 10.2 if you ran Norton.
