cubase 5 crash on imac

hi there i have a problem with cubase 5 on my imac snow leopard 10.6.2
i have an m-audio fast track pro with its latest drivers fro mac os also i use 2 midi controllers...keycontrol 49 and akai mpd26...so...when i go to file>import>audio file..cubase crashes and show me this...(im a new mac user and right now im going to execute the ''onyx program'' which is about cleaning errors scripts or something like that)

Hi:

I experience exactly the same problem with the very same configurations (mine being a real clone of yours !). I finally figured how this works (different from previous versions of Cubase) : your audio file has to be in the pool directory of the actual project. Copy it there. In cubase chose the tab project, an then the option pool. In the window that opens, you'll see your audio file. Drag it from there to the audio track of your choice in Cubase, that's it ! Hope that this is helpful !
