Message: <blockquote data-quote="Command Alt Ego" data-source="post: 1606800" data-attributes="member: 158675">My dad's getting his first Apple product soon, an iPhone 6 Plus.  He doesn't own a computer at home, and has one email address, through his company email.  My question is: can he, when he's unboxed the new phone, and is setting it up, create a new Apple ID and pick a brand-new Apple email as the username (which would then double as his iCloud account)?  What he and I don't want, is for him to have to choose his existing email, associated with his company, as his Apple ID.  I'm confused because somewhere in my rapidly aging brain I seem to recall that Apple asks you to put in an existing email, when creating a new Apple ID — but if that's true, then what do folks do who don't yet have an email?  Thanks in advance for your help!</blockquote>
