Creating Databases in MySQL using Darwin

I've just installed MySQL and im trying to create a database. I don't know the first thing about the terminal and if it's at all possible to create a db without the terminal (maybe PHP?) that would be brill... does any1 know how to do this?

MacBook Pro 2.6 GHz Core 2 Duo 4GB RAM OS 10.5.2
Install phpMyAdmin.. that would definitely be your best bet if you are new to this stuff
