corrupt or unsalvageable video files on iphone 6s?

please help, lm trying to transfer some video files from iphone6s to my external HD via mbpr and image capture. Problem is, some of the videos, the ones that cant properly open and play in iphone, also dont show in image capture. Why wont some video files not open? Get the vertical lined circle that continually appears then fades clockwise. Please see the screen shots. Are they just lost or corrupt files now?
