copy outlook 2011 identitiy onto to a new Mac

I have another thread about a problem macbook pro - BUT this is a new question

I intend to copy the microsoft identitiy onto a new imac

If i installed outlook trial and copied the identity - completely replacing the newly created info
then open outlook - will it pickup all the emails etc
and any attachments and emails copied to an offline folder

i'm used to windows and doing this a lot

we may then move to thunderbird

Also if i copy onto a 2TB drive formatted OS X Extended (journaled) - would I then be able to use with timemachine - i assume not as it will want to format and use the whole drive
OR
create partitions onto the external drive and use 1 for data and the other for time machine - which maybe the best thing anyway
do i post a new question on timemachine ...... and also online backup - been doing alot of research and learning curve today

Or you may want to think about using Migration Assistant with the new Mac or maybe even checkout a cloning app like Carbon Copy Cleaner (CCC) and some of its options.
