Wow! That's impressive! *Jaw drops to the floor*

No lag whatsoever. Awesome.

That's cool as heck... That's exactly what I'm going to do when I get my office fixed up (purchase my second mac, probably an iMac) but only after I finish with siding the house, laying wood floors, and painting the downstairs. I'm actually going to look for new office furniture this week... and I don't know why I'm telling all of you this- I'm sure nobody gives a crap! LOL

Ooh! Getting a living space improved and "upgraded" is really cool! I know how you feel, you have to be pretty excited. Hope you like doing those home improvement projects. :)

That desktop thing looks identical to Ubuntu, what ever happened to Spaces? It's cool without doubt, but it just seems like those multiple desktops would beg for RAM and really lag down the computer after it "got some miles on it."

Well, I am enjoying the projects... I try and do a few a year. So far I've put a new roof on, landscaped the front yard, I just finished building a shed (something I've been wanting forever)... and when I have the house sided I'm going to have them do the shed just like my house. :) I did run into a small issue now resolved. I purchased some nice Italian Porcelain about 2 years ago. I was called back to active duty for a brief stint. Anyway, I laid what I had but didn't have enough and it has been discontinued... luckily they found some extra boxes in PA. Anyway, sorry for the tangent in this thread. :)

Those virtual desktops are rendered in OpenGL, so it doesn't really take as much as you think it would. My Linux box has a mere 512mb and I run XGL, which is similar to Spaces, and can use multiple apps no problem.
