I bought a Lexar MPs player, then found out it doesn't play iTunes songs that have been created on a Mac. Is there an app for converting iTunes to a PC friendly format, like .WMV?
Thats coz iTunes imports songs in AAC format by default, which is why I always change the preferences to MP3 first thing whenever I install it. To convert AAC, I have heard dBpowerAmp Music Converter (for Windows) is best. Haven't used it myself, but the description says it converts AAC. It even does so while preserving the ID tags.
But for the love of God don't convert them to WMA. That's an even less compatible format that AAC. Best to do it MP3 or something because everything plays MP3s, both Mac and PC, and all other OSs.
Go into iTunes importing preferences and change the format to MP3 (minimum 192 kbps). Then highlight all the music in your library, click Advanced in the menubar and click 'Convert to MP3'
