connecting os 8 to os x

i'm upgrading my hd in my performa 630cd and i connected it though scsi to my mac os x computer to back up every thing and that worked but how do i put every thing back on it?
is there a way to force it into disk mode that i don't know?
i have tried holding down T but that dose not work
i need to see the disk in Disk Utility or the finder
can any one help?

SCSI disk mode was only ever supported for PowerBooks. It wasn't until FireWire that all Macs could be used in target disk mode.

Maybe you can find some good ideas in the similar Mac-clone thread.
