Connecting 10.4.1 to 9.2.2

mac mini 512 1.2 20" cinema
When attempting to connect to G4 desktop running 9.2.2 get an error that says "server has incompatible AFP protocol".

Am able to connect to this computer when running OS 9.2.1 from the same computer that I am running 10.4.1 on.

Any ideas? Is this maybe an upgrade issue with 9.2.2 and apple talk?

i have same problem after i tried to update classic to 9.2.2

Have you turned on TCP/IP over AppleTalk in Control Panel > File Sharing on OS 9.x?

Tiger does not support vanilla AppleTalk any more, and it has to use TCP/IP.
