My friend's computer which has a SSD external drive as start-up disk restarts on its own intermittently, sometimes in an hour or a day.

Start-up disk in OWC Envoy Pro SSD
We have tried starting in Safe Mode and it restarted soon after.
I cannot tell from EttreCheck (attached) if it is indeed checking my actual startup disk, which is the OWC SSD or is it checking the 2012 iMac. We had to upgrade the iMac from Mojave to Catalina because TurboTax required it. The iMac then became uselessly slow, so we use the external as the Startup which we clone to the iMac with SuperDuper. Is it the iMac or the startup external SSD that has the problem?
