Command+Shift+P+R

Some of my apps have been having unexpected quits, and freezes - so i deceided to try to reset the P-Ram so i shut off my box booted it back up while holding down Command+Shift+P+R but nothing happens untill it finally goes into a safe boot... is this what is supposed to happen? :cool:

Systematic crash and sudden quits could be cause by either a change in hardware, such as memory upgrade, corrupted disk and crons.
