Anyone know about the case with the football player who is in jail now because he had sex with his girlfriend and she was a minor and she still consented but hes in jail im in class and cant find the article

Haven't heard of it.. but the key word there is "MINOR"... Minor's can not legally give consent, so he should be in jail.

I'm not trying to be mean, but that run-on, poorly composed sentence made me think of a 13 year old girl saying it really fast! Cracked me up.

And, no, I haven't heard about it. What's the age cut-off these days? 16? 17? Does it vary by state?

While this is a sad case, the law is still the law. As a parent I would have never pressed charges though. That being said, I'm glad my oldest daughter is/was dating a guy her age. No wait, he was a year younger than her. Hmmmmmmm........

The parents didn't want to press charges, they were all pursued by the state.

The fact that they updated the law because of this case, but are still making him serve his sentence is what is getting everybody all upset
