I have a cinema monitor and Mac Mini purchased in 2013. There probably isn't 15 hours on the setup. The monitor is connected to the mini using a thunderbolt cable. Nothing has changed in the connections. Today the monitor wouldn't wake up. From the research I've done, that is common for this monitor. I can't tell what OS I am running since I have no monitor. The mini boots and I can hear it opening the applications like Skype. Apple support had me connect the monitor to my Apple laptop and that didn't work. The laptop didn't even recognize that the monitor was connected. The cable I'm using came with the monitor. It is a fat cable that splits into 3 connectors at the end. USB, thunderbolt, and then power connector for a laptop. I'm connected to the mini using the thunderbolt. The other 2 ends are just loose. Any suggestions on what to do? Apple Support said the Genius Bar won't service the cinema display since it is discontinued. They gave me an authorized service center but I'm afraid they are going to charge me an arm and a leg for a display that has less than 10 hours on it! And this thing wasn't inexpensive. I see there are all kinds of ways to reset the monitor but you have to be able to see what is happening on the screen to be able to do that. Help! Thanks
