Changing your Operating System...

I have an iBook G4, with Panther OS X 10.3.9 and i was wondering if it was possible to update my computer and install leopard. I know you can update the operating system with Windows computers but i wasn't sure if it was possible to do this on macs as well.
If it is possible, how would you go about doing this?

Providing the iBook meets the minimum specs:

Put DVD in.

Run DVD.

Select which HDD to install on.

Click Update.

Enjoy your new OS.

No, Leopard is not out yet until October, I guess he meant Tiger. And if he really meant Leopard because he downloaded it from somewhere I must say that is certainly ILLEGAL and won't be tolerated here.

I know leopard isn't out yet, i just wanted to know for when it does come out, I did not mean tiger. and i'm a she, not a he.

yh it comes out in october. i would assume the OS will run on it but be warned the new graphical effects etc.. will run slower or some may struggle to run at all.

How in the heck are we supposed to know that? Nothing in your user name would suggest your gender. Maybe if you were to put that info in your profile we would know.
