No need to update if you're happy with Mojave and everything works.

If you do update there are no guarantees and being a new OS it is often best left for a while to settle down with some supplemental updates.

Those are decisions everyone has to make for themself. We all use our tools differently, specific to our needs.

macOS Catalina is a major overhaul of the Operating System (OS). And I mean really big changes. Numerous sites on the web describing these. An equally large number of grumbles, complaints and rants.

As stated, a personal choice. Strictly my opinion. You're happy. Stay happy. macOS Mojave will be supported for at least 3 years.

Should you want to take the plunge, I'd wait till there is a .2 update before upgrading. The dust should have settled by then. My personal view, remember.

From what I have read, I would say you made a very good choice, especially considering some of the reviews of the latest Mac OS 15 Carolina are the most scathing of any reports I have ever read about Apple and their OS updates and upgrades.

If there will be no benefits for you, or new features that you can actually use, why bother upgrading to an OS that has given so many so many problems, then just stay where you are.

I'm still back and using Mac OS Mavericks 10.9.5 'cuz it retained several application features that I use that Apple removed from their later OS X versions.

Actually, it's good to hear that your Mojave OS is working well for you. Many that could went back to the High Sierra OS that worked better for them.

I skipped from Snow Leopard to El Capitan when I bought a new Mini. All my vital signs are still good.
