Hi, thanks if anyone can help with this, I'm going round in circles!
I have a USB drive shared on the back of my router.
It always worked until I upgraded to Catalina.
Now I can access it via FTP but don't seem to have permission to change any files on it.
When I try to adjust the permissions for the share I just get "The operation can't be completed because you don't have the necessary permissions."
I've tried to rectify the permissionissue using the first fix described here; https://www.fireebok.com/resource/h...not-have-the-necessary-permission-on-mac.html and I have also done it from an admin user account before.
I have setup the FTP sharing via System Preferences but that doesnt seem to help.
I'm actually considering getting a hard disc NAS instead but that seems overkill for what I need.
Thanks for any ideas!
