Catalina OS: wake up problem

Installed the latest (Catalina) on my MacAir 2014 model. Now it want wake up when open top; will only wake up when depress start button for 30 seconds; then does complete start up as if just turned on. Have tried reinstalling OS & run several hardware/software diagnostic programs. Everything shows fine but still won't wake up. Has anyone experienced same problem? Anyone have a fix or suggestion? Ray Collins

Welcome to our forums.

First, try a SMC reset. Then be sure to download 10.15.1 which is available today from Apple. The new update to Catalina resolves many bugs.
