Cant use chatrooms since update

Ive just updated my G5 to 10.3.5 and safari 1.4.2 but now i cant get into any chatrooms! I was able before i updated, wots going on??? Has anyone else found this with java on chatrooms since update??
My son uses www.ukchat.com and keeps getting this error thread:
java.lang.unsatisfiedlinkerror: getproxyURL

I'm not techincal so please be gentle with any techno feedback
