Can't sync iCal and my iphone4

Your Mac's Specs
Macbook pro, Ipod touch, Iphone4, iPad2
For some reason, my calendar on my iphone4 has been erased whilst syncing at some point (with my macbook pro), now when i try to sync with iCal, it won't transfer the info. All is correct on the iCal but i can't get it across, any ideas would be greatly appreciated as to how to rectify this.
