can't open PDF's after Yosemite upgrade

Just updated to Yosemite 10.10. When trying to view PDFs, I get an error message that says "can't open pdf because power pc functions are no longer supported." Downloaded a fresh Adobe reader. That doesn't do it. What should I do? Thanks.

Just use Preview. It's built in and works. The error message tells me you upgraded from a pretty old version of OS X because Power PC functions haven't been supported for at least the last three versions. You may have other software that reports the same problem.
