Hello, I have an iMac running OS 10.5.7. I am getting a problem when I try to install my HP designjet 500 printer driver. I downloaded the driver, and I have no problem installing the driver if the computer and the printer are on the same subnet. The problem comes when the printer and computer are located in a different subnet. I am able to ping the printer, can access the printer embedded web server, can connect to the printer via ftp and telnet, but when I go to add the printer driver thru the ip option the only thing I get is the generic postscript driver that comes with the mac, and it does not give all the setting that I need to print I would really appreciate if someone can help with this Regards
