I want to connect my personal MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2014) to the display as well. LG support says the monitor will work with it at 4k, but I've try to connect via a USB-C to USB adapter + a USB male to USB male adapter -- and no go on the display. LG said the Mac needs to run Sierra 10.12.2 or later. Apple support says it requires Mojave 10.14.6. My MBP 2014 has the latter OS and it's not working. Has anyone successfully connected the 2014 MBP to the LG 5k display? I'd rather not upgrade my laptop's OS further if it's not going to work. Thanks!</blockquote>
