about what is happening with digg. Heard something about it shutting down or something. Kevin's post http://blog.digg.com/?p=74? i just dont get.

Nah,

the MPAA has been sending out shut down threats to sites for posting the HD-DVD hex code (that long string of numbers on that post) that has recently been cracked. Since it's some big news that's been spreading, it's been all over digg as well as other social networking sites. I'm sure they have received a few letters. And I think that's probably what kevin is talking about.

Actually, the code was released back in February. ;)

The big "uprising" wasn't for the code, but because Digg moderators were taking down stories that posted the code and subsequently stories that criticized Digg for doing so. The protest was for freedom of speech, not for the code.

It isn't the "big news" anymore fortunately. Apparently that hex does not work on newer titles anyway. Goodness, what the world would be like without the MPAA O:)
