I have a PowerMac G5 with Dual 2 GHz PowerPC processor, 4GB of DDR SDRAM and a ATI Radeon 9600 graphics card. I want to be able to edit HD video on it but not sure if there's a way I can do that given the age of the machine. Anyone can give me some suggestions and/or steps I should take to upgrade or if I will be able to at all, for that matter?

Not an expert here, but I think your issue relates more to software than hardware.
Basically, does the package you currently have support HD (probably not or you wouldn't be asking)? And, will the package you want to use run on your system?

IMO you probably have the horsepower, especially with addition of RAM and your system can run Leopard, so you ought to be able with what you have.

I actually do have Leopard 10.5.8 so I know that is not the problem. I've never tried to run HD on this machine. I'm basically asking if I want to, should I perform some upgrades or will it work as is?
