Can anyone answer this...???

I write magazine articles using a Dell laptop PC. Frequently when I burn graphic to CD and send it to graphics designer, her Mac computer spits the disk out and will not open it. When this happens, other Macs also will not open it.

I have burned the graphics to the CD using both Roxio drag and drop and standard Microsoft. Neither makes a difference, however, the problem does not happen consistently.

I am able to open the disk using any of my PCs and they are not configured the same way.

What do I need to do to burn graphics on my PC and have them consistently open on her Mac?

Are you using the same brand of CDs everytime? Have you tried reading those CDs in other PCs?

Here is what he says...

I do use the same brand CDs and my burner is not that fast as it is about three years old. I can open the disks on any PC without a problem, so I am sure it has something to do with going from PC to Mac, but what I am doing is not uncommon and the Macs involved are opening other disks burned on PCs.

It seems like it must have something to do with configuration of my burner?

I would change the brand of CDs. Some CD players are more "sensitive" than others, LiteOn drives for example can read CDs that my iBook can't. I have seen similar situtations with certain brands or batches of CDs.

What you should do is get your hands on the cd's without anything burned on them and then see if the drive ejects the blank cd, when you insert it. I'm sure that the mac doesn't agree with those cd's.
