Calendar desktop?

I don't know yet how to do this, but I would like to have my normal desktop background with my iCal monthly view imposed on top. Basically I would like to see my calendar without having to make a separate movement or click off the open window.

Any ideas??

If you're a GTD'er (google it) you might try something along these lines:

Just make the process of taking a screenshot of your calendar part of your weekly GTD review, and make that your background for the week.

Another kludgy workaround might be to use an iCal widget like this:

and an app called Amnesty browser:
http://amnesty.mesadynamics.com/WidgetBrowser.html

To let your run the widget at the desktop background level (and not floating over your apps).

You might even try some Applescript or Automator action that will check if your iCal is open, take a screen grab of just that window and make it the background image.

I can't find any easy app that would do this...but what you're describing would be really cool.

There is a program that uses web pages as desktop backgrounds. Perhaps you can point the url to your publiched ical?
