I bought a Mac Book Pro today. It is my very first Mac book. I was wondering if there was a guide that shows you all the short cuts and things you should know for using a MAC, because I am very new to it all. I have the new Lion X OS. I like the finger swipe shortcuts a lot. What else is out there?

Welcome to the forums and congrats on your first Mac! You should linger around the switcher area which can be found here. That forum should have a lot of info for you. I learned a lot when I first got my Mac by looking at a bunch of topics in that section. As for basic shortcuts, substitute "command" for "control". For instance, copy in Windows is "ctrl + c" whereas in OS X it is "cmnd + c". Also, get used to "cmnd + q". That shortcut is the Quit shortcut. Unlike Windows, if you just click on the red close circle, that window will simply close, not the whole app. To quit an app in OS X you need to click on it's name in the file menu and navigate to "Quit (This App)" or simply press "cmnd + q" and it will be closed completely. I hope you don't get discouraged with the different features a Mac has, because once you get used to it, it's much friendlier than Windows. Good luck.
