Using a MacPro & Lion.
Recently booting up stops with the multicoloured wheel going around and around. I have to force quit via the keyboard and reboot several times before it will suddenly connect to Internet etc.
What might be happening here please. Should I leave the computer switched on permanently?

Thanks

G'day and welcome to the forums.

Talking about using the keyboard, are we actually discussing a Mac Pro, the big silver one, or a MacBook Pro laptop?

Well it is not a Mac Pro but rather a MacBook Pro period.

Try doing a SMC reset and if not now zap the PRAM.
