Hi everyone,

I just have received my new 17 inch imac I bought and I really like it. But I have one little problem I'd like some help with. if that's possible.

I followed Bootcamp's instructions with installing it, and burnt the drivers cd. But when I try to install windows, I put my windows cd in (it's a real XP cd) boot camp just tells me:

"No installer cd was found".

Strange cause the XP cd is in the drive. Does anyone know what I can do about this problem.

Thanks.

What do you mean by real? Is it retail? OEM for system builders? Or is it from a retail computer?

By real, I mean it's not a burnt disc. It's one of the discs you'd get if you bought XP from the stores.

That is a strange one. If you have the Retail XP Pro or Home SP2 full install it should work perfectly. Is it an Upgrade or Full Install?

It's the full install one. Cause I read somewhere the upgrade one won't do it. And yeah it's really strange.

Well I fixed the problem, the disk I had was SP1 and not SP2. But I got that fixed. And it installed fine.

But another problem. A weird one. Any ideas on it anyone?

I was in XP and I was installing the mac drivers and it opened the install program as usual and got to the bit of registering the product. All fine then it said rolling back action. Still fine. But then error. It said "error -1603 fatal error. And aborted the installation of the drivers.

Would the drivers be installed by that stage? And would everything inchuding sound be ok in windows if I left things as they are after the part completed installation?
