I've had my Mini now for a while and when I first got it I had trouble sending photos from my Galaxy phone to the Mini via bluetooth. My previous iMac had no problem.
At the time it seemed there was a glitch in the new Mac OS that wouldn't bluetooth to other than Apple stuff. My wireless Magic Mouse and Apple keyboard work fine (99% of the time) with my Mini.
I just tried to send pics from my phone and it's still no-go.
Is there a work around for no Apple/Mac bluetoothing?

I'm using Ventura 13.4.1

Macs do not BT to other devices, they recommend using Airdrop.

@mikbik

And just for info, the latest version of Ventura is 13.5

This is advised for security reasons and it might solve your problem??

Have you considered attaching your Galaxy to the Mac via USB if that is possible and importing the photos that way?

It seems they had absolutely no problems with their previous iMac and transferring photos.

Maybe Apple should get things working properly for their later macOS versions.

My gosh Ian, do users have to stoop that low these days, the next thing I know somebody is going to be suggesting using sneakernet...
Come on Apple smarten up and get up to date if they can't share wirelessly with other devices in 2023. Gheez...

I have resorted to taking the micro card from my phone and plugging it in to the Mini (using an adapter, of course) and have looked into using an app to use the USB, but am hoping there's a way to do it like I used to - via BT.

FWIW, I did update to 13.5 to no avail.

I think you will find Android File Transfer is the way to go. Here is an article on the topic including a link to the app. How to use Android with your Mac

I had AFT on a previous phone and it worked great. However, now that I search for it, it doesn't come up when searching Play Store. I checked out your link, but it's from 2017, so I don't know that it's current.
Thanks though.

Try here instead:

They can using Airdrop, via wifi and BT, just no direct BT connection (though I understand some people have managed to make (the slower) BT connection).

It seems that using Airdrop includes some other advantages as well that I wasn't aware of:

As an occasional Android phone user there is of course another way if you prefer a wireless method of photo transfer which is to use a file sharing service like Dropbox or Google Photos. In both cases you get limited free storage (15GB with the Google app) and it's relatively easy to transfer your photos to your computer.
I set my camera to load photos directly to Google Photos then open them in my MBP in the online Google Photos site and download from there. No need to download the app.
