Hello, I am a newbie and not up to speed with my MBPro, iPad and iPhone4. I have tried to connect the devices using Bluetooth as I want to transfer files from my MBPro to the other 2 devices.
I continually get the message that the service is not available, can someone please tell me what I am doing wrong and how to sort this problem out, thanks very much..

There is no file transfer plotocol over bluetooth for the iPad or iPhone.

There are many different ways to get files onto your devices. What are you trying to copy across?

BTW Welcome.

I've seen from your message on my profile it's a word document.

You can use an app like air sharing to copy the file over wifi or you can connect the iPhone or iPad to iTunes by cable and drag and drop files to an appropriate app on the Apps tab in iTunes.

I can give you step-by-step help if required
