Black MacBook Duo Core 2 problems

Hi,

When I start up my MB, I get a quick grey flash on my screen, then nothing. Black screen, no HD noise, no keyboard response. Tried resetting PRAM, nothing, tried reset SMC, nothing. Just the power light.

Any ideas? PRam battery?

I took out the HDD and tested it and it's fine.

Any help would be appreciated.

Same issue here with a Macbook Core Duo. I have thus far reset the PRAM, took the battery out and disconnected it from the power supply, held down the start button for five seconds, and then reinstalled battery and attached to charger and then started it up and it worked....until I shut it down. Now it will not start again even with the same steps applied. Actually, it starts, it just has a grey flicker and then a totally black screen.

I am using an HP right now and I hate it!
