With the rumored revamp of the iMacs, what has been the best looking iMac for you???

G3 - Compact, numerous colors, trailblazer

G4 - LCD swivel screen, Even more compact, first to use iconic white

G5 - Even MORE compact, recent addition of built in iSight, built in bluetooth

G6 - Who knows????

What about the Intel ones? You totally forgot them...The next ones won't be called G6.

I liked the G4 best...

Definitely the G4... I still want one. I'd never use it; just pure desk art.

If the could stick an intel in it I would prefer it to the iMac intel.
It's the best looking one, I still use mine with a sigh..ahhhh

G4 was sexy and fun looking. The current intel ones are cool looking, but a bit blah. Time for a redesign, and I'm hoping for it to include a bit of iMac G4 in the design.

Am I the only one who didn't like the G4?
I prefer the current generation, G5. But I really can't wait for the next gen :O!

I'm torn between the G4 and G5/Intel. They're both fantastic-looking, in my opinion. I agree with Sennec, can't wait to see what Apple does next.

G4 by ALOT. At the time the G3 was just amazing though.

I might be bias thought b/c I have owned both the G3 and G4 but not the G5. However, I do own a PowerMac G5 and still think the G4 Powermac looked alot better.

Sidenote, I was kinda PO'd Apple didn't change the design on anything when they switched to Intel. I mean, G5 to Intel was a bigger change than G3 to G4 or G4 to G5. Just me tho.

But keeping the same designs made it clear the computers were still Macs, just different chips inside.

My old G3 iBook (clam shell) was the best ergonomic designed book, just the best to type on, I love to get it out now and again (the iBook that is;)) for a quick (slow) run on the net:D

G5 by a longshot, simple yet refined and beautiful.

G4 looks silly and childish in my opinion.

Apparently this is the next iMac concept... who knows if it's true though. Looks pure awesome either way. I though there was a bigger image around... ooh here we go. http://taisyo.up.seesaa.net/image/file_12481782.jpg

Anyway, I think the G5 looks the best... I unfortunately bought mine right before the iSight was added ><

That'd be awesome, but there's not enough space to fit all the hardware in.

Looking at the beam that hold the screen. It appears there is enough room to hold what is needed.

I like the current Intel/G5 the best... In fact, it's the only design from the iMac lineup that I think fits in well in an office environment. Neat, clean, simple, professional.

The G4 just looked too "sci fi," and like I note in the previously posted concept design, it also looks pretty heat intensive.

And I was never impressed by the original iMacs at all.

By the time they actually start producing them (which isn't entirely certain anyway), that bit holding the screen will be more than enough space to hold copious amounts of hardware :p

Apparently they have the technology to do the transparent screen thing, but they're only using it in the highest range GPS systems in the highest range cars at the moment... =\
