Best Hard Drive Configuration?

I am relatively new to the Mac world and have enjoyed every minute of my new G5. Mine is the entry level G5 1.6GHz, 1GB Ram, 80GB HD, nVidia 64MB graphics. I opted for the G5 over a dual G4 because of the newer design and am very happy with it. Here is the problem: I've only got 17GB free on the OEM 80GB drive. I have about 40GB of music and about 10GB of photos. I am going to purchase Photoshop CS soon and would like to increase my storage as well and increase performance a little too. Would I be better off buying two 7200 RPM 250GB drives and striping them or would I get better performance by buying a 74GB WD 10,000 RPM Raptor and a 250GB 7200 RPM drive for storage? I also plan on adding another gig of RAM soon (perhaps today if I buy the RAM off eBay). Thanks in advance.

Well, I'm sure the 10,000 RPM drive would perform better, but I'd first check to see if the system bus/motherboard can benefit from its speed

The 10000RPM will only load things faster. Personally I would just spend my money for staorage rather then speed. Gamers buy the raptors so things will loads faster but as far as performance it wont do anything. Save you money and buy the larger and cheaper 7200 drives and RAM.
