Your Mac's Specs
Back to my old 2.2GHz C2D MB after selling my MBP and wondering what my next Mac will be :)
You have not given us any details on the Macbook, or the battery, so it is impossible to give you any definitive answer.
Also, when you say "when the battery is installed it crashes", does these mean that with the battery installed, and the charger not plugged in or plugged in, it turns off or goes to sleep, or the screen goes black, or the screen freezes, or you get the spinning ball, or you get the blue screen, etc ?
If the Macbook has a warranty still, or have AppleCare, and if the battery or the computer is defective, then you are covered.
That is the best I can do for you without any (all) of the info missing from your post.
