Battery Life -> should I remove battery?

I just got my macbook pro about 5 weeks ago. Should I remove my battery when I am working on my mpb at my desk? I generally leave the computer on 24/7. I want the battery to last a long time.

Lithium-Ion batteries have a set lifetime. It doesn't matter how much you use it or how much you charge it, it won't affect the life of the battery. The battery should last a while, regardless of how you use it.
