For some strange reason lately my battery has been draining rather quickly. It goes from fully charged to empty in just 90 minutes. I used to get almost 3 hours out of it. Now after being plugged all day, the charge is stuck at 89% full. It wont charge past 89%. Any ideas? I already reset the pmu and the pram, and I calibrated the battery a few days ago.

How long have you had your MacBook for?

BTW, it's dying, not dieing.

Dieing, Yeah I thought that looked kinda funny after seeing it on the thread, just too lazy to fix it. Anyway, macbook is only 3 months old. The closest apple store is 65 miles away, so I really dont feel like doing all that traveling.

Try having the charge go down to 84% and then charge it again and see if it goes to 100%. If it still drains quickly then you may have to call Apple care and ask for a replacement battery. Hopefully they will mail it to you and you just have to mail the faulty one back to them. cheers.

Yeah, if u recall the battery issues a few weeks back where there were defective batteries in the MacBooks and they had a software update for the battery. If the software update doesn't fix it then they send u a new battery.

That worked very well for me. I was sent a new battery after I spoke with Apple Care. They sent me the battery in 2 business days.

Hope that helps.

Cheers
