Backlight is on when put computer to sleep

When I put my iMac 21.5 2011 to sleep i see black screen with backlight is on from 1 to 10 secs. Then backlight turns off. Apple care have no idea what's happening. All the stuff such as option-alt-p-r is done.

Thoughts gentleman?

I see that you reset the PRAM, did you try resetting the SMC?

Also, if the backlight is not going off for 10 seconds, then something is preventing the machine from sleeping right away.

Sorry for incorrect place just wrong click.

SMC is done with no effect.

What can prevent it from sleep you think?
