Hi All, I've searched (and are still searching) but cant find a definitive answer so am trying my luck with a new thread. I switched from PC to iMac about 2.5 years ago. I mainly use it for photos (iPhoto '11) and Video (iMovie). I am now looking to backup my photos and videos with the aim of : 1) having 2 backup copies (one onsite and one offsite) 2) being able to delete older video/photos from my iMac to free up space. I have not used TimeMachine based on the thinking that if it is like Windows, I cannot retrieve individual videos or photos. Also based on expectation that if I delete it from my iMac, it will get deleted from the backup. If I am wrong here, please correct me. I have 2 x 2TB external Hard Drives formatted for Mac OS (Journaled). I understand that I can't share with Windows. I dont mind. I have so far (I believe) copied the iMovie events and projects across and hope and believe I have this sorted. What I am looking for help with is how to: Copy all my photos to an external hard drive so that I can Delete from the iMac photos which I currently do not need whilst maintaining the original versions on the external hard drives in case I want to access it later or something happens to my iMac Any assistance greatly appreciated (and if you think I am approaching this from the wrong angle feel free to suggest a different tactic)... ty ty ty
