Hi,

I'm new here and I'm sure this has been discussed several times but has anyone found a way to tune the x1600 in the mbp's? I have a 2.33ghz and when I learned of the underclocking I wasn't too happy of course. Aticcellerator does not support tuning it yet, so has anyone dealt with it without having to put on windows? 310mhz on a chip that runs 420 default on a pc version, grrrr.

Thanks

i think its underclocked for a reason.

one of them being heat issues

MBP already gets smoking hot, especially when gaming or running demanding software like 3D and so on.

If you overclock it to "normal" level im pretty sure it will get MUCH hotter.

Also, wount you void the warranty?

im pretty sure overclocking does void the warranty.

Yeah most likely would void it, you'd have to clock it back to default. I know its because of temps but its just disappointing of course.

If you have a 2.33, I wouldnt worry about it. The C2D's did not suffer from the severe underclocking like the CD's did.
