Asus Monitor Drivers for rMBP

I have this great new rMBP 15 and an Asus 21.5" monitor that I bought in 2010. The Asus looks pretty bad compared to the retina screen. Are there drivers for MAC OS? The Asus site seems to only load Windows based drivers. The model on the Asus is MS226h.

There are no specific Asus monitor drivers for the Mac. No monitor is going to look as good as your retina display anyway.

While I agree with chscag that nothing will look as nice as your Retina display, there can be a real need for more real estate. I am in this category: I often connect my rMBP to a 22" AOC monitor and the picture, while not Retina quality, is beautiful.

There are no monitor-specific drivers for your Asus, but how are you connecting to it? I see the MS226h has HDMI, VGA, and DVI-D. If you're using HDMI or VGA that might explain the lower quality of picture. I have my rMBP connected from its Thunderbolt port to the monitor's DVI port and it automatically sets to maximum resolution.
